Chris is a Wisconsin native, born and
raised in Menomonee Falls, and now resides in Racine with his wife
Rebecca. He has been involved in emergency services since 1997
where he began with the Menomonee Falls Fire Dept. as a volunteer,
eventually hired into a part time paid position. During
this time he was assigned to Station #3 which was primarily
responsible for response to calls for extrications, confined space,
high angle & technical rescue, and other specialized tasks. He
also spent several years employed by the largest private EMS
provider in the state of Wisconsin, Bell Ambulance. During his
employment Chris served as a Crew Chief, Dispatcher, and Special
Events Leader. In 2000 he was awarded as the employee with
"The Highest Number of Responses" and "The Highest
Number of Patient Transports". Chris holds numerous
certifications in Fire, EMS, & HAZMAT, and is a
SARTECH II.
After Christmas of 2003, Chris and his wife Rebecca were fortunate
to have adopted Kramer, a Golden Retriever/Yellow Lab??? mix, who
was found by acquaintances abandoned with 8 other new-born puppies
outside a farm in TN. This "rescue" prompted the
idea to join a K9 Search and Rescue team. Chris and Kramer are
currently working on obtaining a TDI and CGC certifications.
In his free time he enjoys
golf, playing on the computer, camping, underwater basketweaving,
and traveling.
